Focusing on You

01 — Starting

Therapy starts with a consult call. This is to determine we are good fit and I can be helpful in the issues you are seeking support for. Next I assess you and your symptoms, usually by using a combination of your narrative and diagnostic scales. At your very first appointment we develop a treatment plan together and start setting goals.

02 — Getting moving again

My pragmatic approach to therapy focuses on delivering results from day one. By utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy and other evidence-based tools, we target your symptoms head-on. Our goal is to help you reclaim life, resume daily activities, and foster self-care within a few short months, creating an upward spiral of functionality. Once you are stabilized we can move on to deeper work.

03 — Growing in yourself

My approach to deeper trauma work is relational and psychodynamic. This means we address trauma by fostering a secure therapeutic relationship. By exploring past experiences, building trust, and co-creating meaning, we provide a safe space for healing, integration, and reclaiming a sense of wholeness and resilience. In this approach the therapeutic relationship becomes a vital tool for addressing trauma; the relationship itself creates a new template for healthy relationships, where you have your needs met, boundaries respected, and you are joyfully connected.

04 — Confidence and freedom

As therapy comes to a close, you'll emerge with newfound insights, self-awareness, and coping skills. My goal is to empower you to navigate life's challenges independently, fostering resilience, personal growth, and a renewed sense of well-being. The ultimate aim is to empower clients to continue their journey independently, equipped with the tools and resilience to thrive and experience personal growth.
