Peace and Joy in Every Stage of Life.
Focusing on Connection
01 — Why specialized care?
I specialize in eldercare and offer home visit psychotherapy for grief processing, treatment of mood disorders and cognitive disorders involving forgetfulness. Elders face unique psychological challenges, such as grief, loss, loneliness, and the impact of age-related health conditions. Specialized psychotherapy caters to their specific needs, providing a safe space to address emotional issues, enhance coping skills, and improve overall well-being. It helps elders navigate life transitions, manage chronic pain, combat depression, and foster resilience. Individualized care acknowledges their life experiences and offers valuable support during this stage of their journey.
02 — Dementia
Recognizing that each person's experience is unique, I develop treatment plans tailored to their specific needs. Through a combination of cognitive stimulation therapy, and interventions like reminiscing, mindfulness training and validation, I aim to enhance cognitive functioning, manage emotional distress, and improve overall quality of life. Additionally, I collaborate closely with caregivers to understand the individual's preferences and challenges, ensuring that the therapy plan is personalized and effective. This often includes sessions that incorporate family members. Together, we work towards improving the lives of people with dementia and their loved ones.
03 — Mindfulness
Mindfulness-based psychotherapy provides considerable advantages for older adults, especially those dealing with dementia. This modality encourages finding peace in the present moment, which is especially important for those with memory loss. Mindfulness can help to maintain cognitive abilities, reduce stress and anxiety, and support a healthy outlook. Mindfulness based psychotherapy is also useful for managing the behavioral and emotional challenges associated with dementia.
