Caring for your community, together.
Focusing on Communities
01 — Guided discussions for families
I provide free psychoeducational presentations on a variety of topics for loved ones. It is a great way to show family members of your residents that you prioritize mental health as part of an overall care plan. Topics include: talking to loved ones with memory loss, supporting mental health in assisted living, encouraging social connection in assisted living, and approaching conversations on mental health with loved ones.
02 — Interactive trainings for workers
Help your staff do their best with free trainings related to mental health that enhance the well-being of residents and reduce risk in your facility. Trainings include screenings for depression and anxiety, navigating difficult behaviors related to dementia, self-care and avoiding burnout.
03 — Wellness classes for residents
It is normal for people to have reactions of depression or anxiety when encountering major life transitions. My “Living Well” curriculum is designed to halt the downward spiral of poor mental health and self-isolation that can sometimes accompany moving into assisted living. This program is designed to engage residents that you identify as at-risk because they often stay in their room and appear lonely and withdrawn. It incorporates mindfulness, art therapy, and social components to help participants make friends and share their life experiences in a structured environment.
